2024 Panhandle’s Next Pet Model contest is supporting Lotus Haven. Beyond our core mission of animal rescue and sanctuary, we have embraced an educational component, inviting individuals to visit and learn about our animals and the rescue process. Moreover, we have facilitated therapeutic visits, extending our impact beyond our immediate community. Looking ahead to 2024, we aspire to broaden our therapeutic visits to public spaces, such as nursing homes, VA facilities, schools, and more, to share the joy these interactions bring.

Each January, hundreds of pets rush to send us their photographs for a chance to win some seriously cool prizes and claim to the title "Panhandle's Next Pet Model!" All participants are entered into the contest where voting takes place a few weeks later, via Facebook. The Top 25 move on to Round Two where they get the full model treatment, enjoying a professional portrait session before moving to another round of voting! From there, the winners are selected through popular vote. The best part? We are raising hundreds and hundreds of dollars every year for our featured non-profit by including the Top 12 pets, as voted by YOU on Facebook, in a calendar where full proceeds go to the non-profit. How cool is that?!?! We are so excited for the 2024 Panhandle’s Next Pet Model contest!
